Architectural Drawings
2004
Medium: Pencil on paper
Dimensions: 36 x 50 cm
I made these architectural drawings after participating in a study trip through Central and Eastern Europe. As I was traveling with many architects, we saw and discussed a lot of buildings, and these drawings seem to look at the world through the architect's eyes. During the discussions, I frequently had the feeling that even though the borders of the former Soviet Union were already opened, often there was the impossibility of communication, as if instead of real walls there were still transparent walls at play. The drawing Round Table Discussions conveys that feeling of having prejudice and the impossibility of real exchange.
