Forced Play featured drawings and sculptures made from paper and wood, as well as from found materials. These structures are called islands – they are floating pieces, individuals that also intersect with each other. These islands are made up of national symbols, flags, pie chart shapes, and welcome signs that are not very welcoming. This installation also included text entries and images about my personal struggles with the artist's block while making these works in 2010-2011.
