True Story is the general name of a ceramic project consisting of clay plates, boxes, porcelain vases, and platters created during 2017-2021 in collaboration with ceramist Nona Otarashvili-Becher. Next to the artistic value, some of the objects also have a practical function.

Nona and I started working together with the aim to combine her ceramic and my graphic experiences. We juxtaposed coarse black clay with fine white porcelain, connecting these contrasting materials with minimalist ceramic forms by Nona and the clean lines of my drawings.

Our collaborative works have been exhibited at various venues since then:

Gallery Bollhorst, Freiburg, Germany; Artisterium, Tbilisi History Museum - Karvasla, Tbilisi, Georgia; Schöneberger Art, Berlin, Germany in 2017. Contemporary Art Space, Batumi, Georgia in 2018; Fabrika, Tbilisi, Georgia in 2019; Gallery Kaolin, Stockholm, Sweden in 2021; Tante Nino, Rotterdam, the Netherlands in 2022.
