My love towards art started with drawing, I remember sitting and drawing my time away. But this medium, connected to flow and intuition was hard to wrap in words; and I needed words to operate in the contemporary art world.
So, I switched to conceptual work and made installations, performances and films. My research topic often was architecture. I depicted humans by observing architecture and the traces people left on the built environment. But the more professional I was becoming, the less playful my works were until I lost the urgency to create.
I picked up drawing again and with it the joy and the feeling of losing the track of time came back. When I draw I rarely know how it will turn out and this feels shaky. But I know now, that I want to stay on this wobbly ground, go beyond language and see to which surprising places the lines and shapes can take me.
